Sammy McNabb, a 16 year old driver traveled to La Junta Raceway over the weekend in search for his 1st win in a SCCA Formula F car with Messanger Racing.
Sammy is no stranger to the high intensity, high speed, side-by-side racing. Never before had he raced a Formula F - 1.2L Honda 4 cylinder until now.
Winning a double header on Sunday and placing 2nd in Saturday's double header race as well. It didn't take him long to figure out the format of that type of racing. As a racer, he likes to win, but his goal for each race is to get better each time out! Sammy began his racing career at the age of 9 racing dirt champ karts. In 2021, he mastered the Modified dirt car winning Rookie of the Year and placing 2nd in the Championship at Route 66 Motorspeedway in Amarillo, TX.
